It's such a delight that venues have been opening up again and weddings are back on. Last Saturday I was back photographing at one of my favorite venues, The Oceano Hotel and Spa in the Half Moon Bay Harbor. With everyone vaccinated against the corona virus Shannon and Charlie celebrated their love with their entire family. The sun was out and so were the numerous smiles. The love that so many of us have missed in the past year has in some ways felt silent, but as we heal and come back together we see that love never stops.

I recently had the pleasure to photograph an absolutely gorgeous wedding of 12 on a beautiful Nicasio Ranch. Laurie and Steve shared their vows in the rolling golden hills of Cow Track Ranch in West Marin. They then enjoyed a delicious candlelit dinner under the rafters of a rustic barn with their daughters and a few other family members. The air was open and swirling with love, but you knew other guests were missed. This made my job feel even more important. It wasn't just my role to create photographs for memories, but create them so others that couldn't experience the wedding in person could still experience the love. The world we're in feels heavier these days and that makes our love heavier, but it also makes our bonds stronger.

Wow! What an amazing past couple of months it's been since I started working with George St. and Lily and Lime. They've booked me over 20 weddings this year within the San Francisco Bay Area. Every weekend I've been blessed to travel to Napa Valley where rows of grapes swell with the rolling hills, rose gardens of Petaluma lush with vibrant colors, effigy-filled churches of San Francisco, and glorious secret oak groves of the East Bay.  With deep joy, I wake up giddy to photograph people at their happiest. To capture a smile that fills a face and spreads joy through family and friends is the best thing I could ever ask for in a career. Enjoy a selection of images from recent weddings. Love, happiness, and their memories are what we live for.

Above the greens of the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville, Hunie and Abdullah were married in a traditional Muslim ceremony. Seated around a table the two families pronounced their commitment to each other. From there on out it was pretty much a party and they knew how to do it. The dancing never stopped, the smiles bounced off the walls and the two families became one. Every detail was stunning and planned to a T. The Afghani food was the best food I've ever had. I was tempted to ask for a to-go box. Well, anyway, enjoy some images.
